A New Era of Exams: SVM Guides Parents on CBSE Reform

Sharada Vidya Mandira conducted an orientation programme for parents on 11th October to brief them about the latest CBSE announcement. In line with the National Education Policy
(NEP) 2020, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a new two-exam pattern for Class X and XII board students, aimed at reducing academic stress and
offering flexible learning pathways. As per the new evaluation system, the first exam results will be released in April via DigiLocker, while the final certificates will be issued in June after the second exam, based on the best-of-two performance. Students who do not clear the first exam will still be eligible for provisional admission to Class XI, ensuring that no academic year is lost. The new pattern is designed to reduce the pressure of a single high-stakes exam, promote continuous study habits, provide students with an opportunity to improve, and build confidence through flexible assessment.
