Green Horizons: Sharada Vidya Mandira’s Eco Revolution

On June 5, 2025, Sharada Vidya Mandira Senior Secondary School marked World Environment Day with a vibrant and impactful program that united the entire school community—including students, teachers, leadership, and board members—in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship.The highlight of the day was a sapling plantation drive across the campus, symbolizing the school’s dedication to sustainability and biodiversity. All participants, from senior management to students, actively planted trees, reinforcing Sharada Vidya Mandira’s pledge to nurture a greener future.

In a meaningful gesture, teachers took a personal pledge to reduce plastic use by imprinting their palm impressions on a canvas, emphasizing the school’s efforts toward a plastic-free environment.Students further engaged by crafting personalized name boards for the newly planted trees, fostering a strong sense of responsibility and care for the environment.

The cultural program featured a graceful dance by Grade 10 and Grade 5 students, highlighting the delicate balance between humans and nature, followed by a powerful Grade 11 skit addressing plastic pollution and the urgent need to reduce plastic consumption.
